The Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions (OBESSU) is a European platform uniting 37 national school student organisations from 28 countries, representing learners in secondary and vocational education. Founded in Ireland in 1975, OBESSU promotes democratic participation, education rights, and youth engagement. Its work includes advocacy, capacity-building trainings, campaigns, policy events, and EU-funded projects. In Youth4Change, OBESSU will mobilise its member unions, support youth participation in decision-making, and contribute expertise in non-formal education, school student activism, and democratic engagement for young people aged 14–20.
