CEMyRI (Centre for the Study of Migration and Intercultural Relations) is an organization based in Spain, specifically at the University of Almería, created in 2009 through an agreement between the Spanish Secretary of State for Immigration and Emigration and the university. Its main focus is research on migratory phenomena, diversity management, and intercultural relations. The centre has a team of researchers in various areas of the social sciences, including anthropology, sociology, social psychology, geography, economics, legal sciences, intercultural education, and linguistics. It also develops specialized training programmes, such as a Master’s degree in Migration Studies, Mediation and Vulnerable Groups, and a Doctoral programme in Migration Studies. Its expertise lies in the development and coordination of national and international projects, the training of students and future professionals, as well as advising public administrations on the design of social policies related to immigration. Within the framework of the Youth4Change project, CEMyRI contributes its expert knowledge in applied research, coordinating and analysing research tasks. Its main target groups include young students, university students, researchers, professionals in the social and administrative fields, and public entities that require guidance on migration policies. The organization brings solid experience in intercultural coexistence, analysis of migratory flows, and the design of social intervention strategies.
